Terry started her training in Scotland at the age of seven years. She received
B.B.O training in classical ballet, variations, character, national, lyrical and highland.
She was a member of a small company that put on performances and dances for special
functions, presenting pieces for such ballets as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty,
and Gisele.
When Terry moved to Canada she furthered her training in R.A.D. to become a qualified
teacher in this method as well. Most of her teaching has been at the Edmonton School
of Ballet where she taught for 18 years and was in charge of the R.A.D. program,
working with students five years to adult and training students to become professional
dancers and teachers, as well as successfully entering students for R.A.D. exams.
She also worked with the school and company preparing pieces
for festivals and ballets such as Copelia, Sleeping Beauty, Gisele and many more.
Terry has also worked with The Alberta Ballet Company on one of their Christmas
Nutcrackers and has done guest teaching throughout Alberta and B.C.
Terry feels that God has blessed her with the gift of dance and it is in her heart
to share it with as many students as God will allow.
