Don Hildebrandt-PresidentDon Hildebrandt was a drama major at the University of Winnipeg from 1976 – 1979. After graduation, he and his new wife Carolyn moved to Ontario and became involved in social services as group home parents for troubled youth. Don also worked in a youth remand centre and later moved into Correctional Services. Through all this Don maintained his interest in the dramatic arts by writing and directing and acting in plays at his church. In 1985 Don and Carolyn and family picked up and moved to Kelowna BC. In 1990 Don began Hildebrandt Homes, an agency dedicated to improving the lives of developmentally disabled adults with behavioural issues. Hildebrandt Homes has been in operation for over 21 years, presently providing care and assistance for over 20 individuals in the Kelowna region. Don, throughout this time, has continued being involved in the Arts--heading up the drama department at his church as well as acting in a professional improve group. In 1994 Don became a board member of Creator's Arts Centre beginning to teach and overseeing their new drama department . Don continues to be involved and active in CAC to this date and has recently re-joined our board of directors. He enjoys continuing to see his interest and love for the arts passed on through CAC and their programs. Adam Hildebrandt-SecretaryAdam has been a part of Creators Arts Centre from year one. He started as the assistant lighting coordinator for our year-end productions and has worked in various roles—both as a performer and as a volunteer—with our drama programs. During Creator's drama production of "The Snow Queen" in 2001-2002, Adam met his wife Holly, who he married in 2005. They have two daughters who love to move and dance, and plan to study at CAC when they are old enough. Outside of his involvement with Creators Arts Centre, Adam manages a group home for people living with disabilities under Hildebrandt Homes. His educational accomplishments include a course in Digital Film Production from the Centre of Arts and Technology. Adam is a very valuable member of the Board at CAC because of his professional experience in the community, his long history with the Art Centre and his own passion for story-telling all its forms. Sheila MacGregor - Treasurer Sheila MacGregor was introduced to Creators Arts Centre years ago as a parent. Her children were registered in dance and drama programs at a young age. She decided to pursue business in post secondary education but maintained her association with the arts performing in different music groups and churches. Upon returning to Kelowna in 1995, she took a position at the Kelowna Community Music School where she developed a pre-school program called Creative Music for Children. She also taught private piano lessons through the school. She volunteered with several different youth music groups assisting them in music performance, songwriting and music production. She also has been very involved using music in many fundraising events to support causes she is passionate about including Children at Risk. Currently, Sheila holds a Professional Accounting Designation as a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and works full-time as an accountant in downtown Kelowna.
