Creator's Arts Centre was originally founded in 1994 as "Creator's Dance Centre" and was a non-profit society until October 2009 when it was granted charitable status.  It is run by a board of directors and is not owned by any one person, but given direction and leadership by its Board of Directors.

Creator's Dance Centre was started because of a voiced desire from people within the Christian community wanting dance training in a Christian environment and Christian teachers wanting a place to teach with the freedom to express their heart of worship. The teachers and directors started setting up programs that would develop a high level of quality training while allowing students to explore freedom of expression, creativity, and worship in a safe and encouraging environment. In the first year, two ten week sessions were offered, and as time progressed, it was clear that students wanted a longer, more expanded program. Since then a ten month program has been developed for those students wanting a more in depth intense training. Short term classes of 4,6, 8, or 10 week sessions are also offered for those that want to try something new. Workshops with guest teachers have also given students opportunity to expand their training.
